DEAR TEACHERS

DEAR TEACHERS by ASIIMWE SAM RUHINDI

I think when I speak I’ll speak for most average students
Firstly am so grateful and humbled for your Great job
For every moment you spend with students
You're super heroes
But there is something I would like to put forward
Something that's aching my heart

Dear teachers
It hurts so bad Every time you tell a student that he is dumb,
Stupid or ignorant after scoring low grades
In test or paper
Just like how back in my junior high school days
My Maths teacher used to
Oh wait… Who is a teacher in the first place?
A teacher isn't someone who teaches something,
But someone who inspires the student to give of her best
In order to discover what he/she already knows.

How will I be inspired when am being called a cow
How will I be inspired when am told that I won't succeed
How will I be inspired when am always called dumb
And may but to mention a few
All because I couldn't get the value of X&Y
Albert Einstein said everybody is a genius
But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree
It will live its whole life believing that it's stupid

Dear teachers
A student who gets low grades today
Might be having a dream that will change the world tomorrow
Please understand us inspire us.
Retired Dr Ben Carson was also called
The dumbest student but today
He’s World celebrated neurosurgeon

Dear teachers
Do you ever wonder what goes?
In the mind of students after all those words
Oh how am sorry to my fellas who
Couldn't bear all that and
Had to drop out at an early stage

Dear Teachers
The tongue can be a very good weapon to destruction
Misery and killing the self-esteem of the students.
We are all molded the same but with different abilities
Appreciate the good in books and encourage those who aren't
We cannot all be teachers, doctors, judges, lawyers, pilots and so on...
But we can all fit in the cycle and continue building this great continent.

MOM PRAY FOR ME.

MOM PRAY FOR ME. By SAMIE

Today i woke up weak very weak
Not physically weak but emotionally weak
There is no perfect song to heal nor great poem
Today i felt like it just happened
Even the blue sky couldn't hold back my tears
Mom pray for me

Today i woke up to only black and white pictures of you
You were so beautiful, your winsome smile made me weak
Today i locked my self in a room and let my tears run down to relieve my soul
It's always hard to fight this feeling when it's hard to believe
You left with no departure echo not even a whisper saying goodbye
Mom pray for me

sometimes i look up in the sky at night hoping to see you
But only see stars and i hope one stands for you
Please mom pray for me remember me always.
I love you i swear it's true
Mom pray for me

Today the toddler you left is a big man
Oh how i wish you were around to watch my every success
How would you feel if i dedicated to you every award i win?
How every poem for you
Mom pray for me

When will one day come?
And i feel your groovy voice
Have the perfect hug and the real kiss
Have your endless love and care
Mom pray for me

Pray for me every time i loose hope
Bless my soul to learn to be strong
Be my walking stick in every storm
Coz i'll always look to you
My warrior my super healer
Mom pray for me

Let me allow a few more tears down
As i prepare more battle a head
I'll live to bless you my queen
I love you and will always do
Keep sleeping well love
Mom pray for me.

ODE TO OUR FUTURE GENERATION

ODE TO OUR FUTURE GENERATION  by ASIIMWE SAM RUHINDI

A wise man  said

If you tell me a fact I will learn

If you tell me truth I will believe

But if you tell me a story it will live forever in my heart

but my heart is on a stand still on

Which fact will we tell to our children and children after them

Which truth will we tell them to believe?

Will we say we had love and respect to human rights?

No I don’t think we have any

Bombings have set record in headlines of world media

We’ve watched our fellow dying

But we’ve been silent and helplessly

But still say we have love

More weapons are manufactured from day to day

More terror groups are rising

More people are dying my goodness

But still we say we have humanity really?

We share same blood same tears

As a sign of brother hood

But a slight difference in skin color

Foolishly leads us to racism why could you tell me why?

Evey year cease fire agreements are signed

But still we have more than 64.5 million  refugees

No place to call home, no food to eat

But we say we have love

Really is this the love that we are being preached?

(Cut the beat cut the beat please )

We cannot stand this it can be avoided

We cannot fear the future but we can create it

Am a dreamer

I dream world where man

will live a peaceful life

where no other will scorn

where love will bless the earth

I dream a world where all will

know sweet freedom's way,

where hate no longer blights our day.

A world i dream where black or white

will share the rewards of the earth and every man is free

And no more hash tags like #blacklivesmatter

#weneedpeace

I dream that one day the world be a better place

And we will have a story to tell

A story that will live forever in the hearts our children

Of such i dream a world .

PATRIARCH

PATRIARCH by ASIIMWE SAM RUHINDI

Here your lying in crypt

so silent like old rock

flowers are smiling at your life

why did you cross the styx?

leaving me alone in this furious world

would you get up and talk to me

Did you love me?

If you loved me then

Why go with matriarch

Tributaries of tears run

in our hearts always

Yawning to see you again

Vesta became my matriarch

and brother my patriarch

It's hard to bear this

feeling when it's hard

to believe your absence

your people oblated us

To wicca for richness

would you please wake up

and hold me closely like never before

And let my soft hands feel you face for the first

And let my eyes have a look at that winsome

Face that I always see in black &and white picture

Would you let my ears hear your voice

Or will you whisper to me softly

telling me how everything will okay?

Would you tell me stories starting with once up a time

As you watch me peacefully getting into dream land

Dear patriarch are you proud of me the man I’ve become today

Do you feel the same like me when people say

Like father like son….

Oh patriarch patriarch.
